At Connections to Success, preparing participants to enter the workforce is one of our main goals. Most of our participants have never had the resources they needed to complete their education, develop job skills or attend training programs.

Our participants want to work. They are committed to changing their lives and becoming self-sufficient. In many cases they don’t know how or where to begin. We take them step-by-step through the process of change.

We begin by assessing the participant’s needs and strengths. Working with the participant, we develop a life plan tailored to their needs and goals. We continue to follow their growth and provide ongoing personal and professional development opportunities through our Real Men’s Group and our Professional Women’s Group.

During the Personal and Professional Development program, participants:

• Attend a comprehensive, weekly seminar
• Create a positive vision for their lives
• Develop positive "self-talk"
• Match a career with their passions and talents
• Map their goals
• Create an action plan to achieve their goals
• Begin working with a mentor team through the Faith & Family Connections program
• Join the "Real Men's Group" or the "Professional Womens Group."
