Many Connections to Success participants face transportation challenges on a daily basis. Studies show that without dependable transportation, families struggle to transition themselves from dependency to self-reliance. Wheels for Success was created to provide these families with safe and reliable transportation.

Cars, trucks and mini-vans are donated to the program as tax-deductible gifts. Each vehicle is inspected and repaired to ensure safety and reliability. In order to receive a vehicle, the participant must meet the following qualifications:

• Have full-time employment.
• Demonstrate sincerity, commitment and determination to become self-reliant.
• Lack resources to purchase and maintain a vehicle.
• Maintain a driving record that will make insurance affordable.
• Possess a valid Missouri, Illinois or Kansas driver’s license.

Qualified participants receive a registered vehicle, insurance and maintenance for one year. Recipients gain a sense of ownership and responsibility by making a monthly payment of $50-$75. At the end of this term, the recipient is given sole ownership of the vehicle.
